WALNUT INN ROLAND

Walnut Inn Roland operates a 24-hour front desk and provides daily housekeeping for all 64 rooms. Key card entry, CCTV in common areas, CCTV outside property, smoke alarms, and fire extinguishers form the security setup. Free parking sits directly outside the rooms; accessible parking and wheelchair-accessible rooms are available.

Walnut Inn Roland has 64 rooms, including King Rooms and Queen Rooms with Two Queen Beds, all with private bathrooms. The renovated rooms use hardwood floors, barn-style sliding doors, and marble-look bathroom finishes. The showers have high water pressure and hot water that does not run out, a detail repeated in guest reviews.

Walnut Inn Roland sits less than 1 mile from Cherokee Casino and 12 miles from Fort Smith Regional Airport. I-40 is close, and the motel serves as a midway stop for travelers between Texas and Missouri. A gas station and travel plaza with laundry machines are across the street; a park and the Marshall Memorial Museum are on the other side of the bridge.

The diner next door serves a two-egg breakfast on a platter and keeps coffee refilled before cups are half empty. Cherokee Casino, less than 1 mile away, has a grill open at all hours and live music on some nights. The travel plaza across the street carries travel supplies and snacks.

Pets are allowed at Walnut Inn Roland; back rooms sit beside a grassy area for walking pets. A covered patio out back provides outdoor seating. The property also has a resident cat named Smoke.
